Ladder To The Sky

Performance by Duncan Wells

I'm lying in a field where the daisies grow
the air smells sweet, the warm winds blow
the blue sky high looks down below
calling my name so away I go.

Climb climb the ladder to the sky
where the rain comes from
the clouds float by
where the sun, and the moon, and the stars all shine
I'm climbing up the ladder to the sky.

I'm high above the house, the trees and the barn
I can see them barbequing in the neighbors yard
everybody waves and I wave right back
one hand two hand, step by step.

Climb climb the ladder to the sky
where the rain comes from
the clouds float by
where the sun, and the moon, and the stars all shine
I'm climbing up the ladder to the sky.

I'm a hundred miles high the world looks small
like a pea in a pod, a ping pong ball
but wait, I think I hear my mother calling me
I think I better get down, right now!

Climb climb the ladder to the sky
where the rain comes from
the clouds float by
where the sun, and the moon, and the stars all shine
I'm climbing up the ladder to the sky
